Part of Maplewood Community Music's mission is to to support the youth of Maplewood area to get them inspired about music and learn about its history. A few ways we support our area youth:

Our annual Children's Concert is a musical experience for children of all ages. We provide a themed program with music from around the world and through the years. Throughout the performace, information is shared with the audience including the history of pieces and interesting information about the composer and his/her intentions, demonstrations of musical style and techniques, and demonstrations of the instruments. This concert is particularly good for the 4th graders who are in the process of selecting an instrument to play in school.

Bones Unlimited Performs for Students at Marshall Elementary We provide small ensemble performances at local schools to show children specific styles of music in an intimate setting.

We encourage high school and college music students to join the Concert Band at anytime throughout the year. They may join for just one concert such as the SummerMusic outdoor concert or for the entire year.

We provide a marching ensemble for community parades. We perform annually in the Maplewood Memorial Day Parade, a favorite of children and adults alike.
